For May, 5,971 single-family homes were sold. The average price was $193,614, a 5 percent drop, but the medianm price, $150,000, was down just 1 Houses are staying on the market for an average of 79 according to a report by the compiled forthe . For the firsrt five months of the year, real estat agents sold 24,454 pre-owned homes in Nortn Texas, down 24 percent. The averagre price for the year-to-datre is $181,135, down 7 percent. The mediamn price, $139,500 was off by 4 percent. In the pre-ownedf condo and townhome market, 367 units sold in May. The averagre price was $183,314, down 3 percent from the same period ayear ago. The mediabn price was $155,000, up 9 percent.
For the 1,297 pre-owned condo units or townhomezhave sold, down by 33 percent with the averages price dipping 8 percenf to $171,126. The median price was $135,500, off by 5 percenft over 2008 year-to-date figures.
