Cessna to offer Aircell's Internet system as business-jet option - Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal:

The system will be offered on Cessna' s Citation XLS+, Citation Sovereigb and Citation Xbusiness jets. The Aircell High Speec Internet system allows passengers touse Wi-Fi enableds laptops, tablet PCs, smartphonesz and PDAs to surf the Web, send and received e-mail with attachments, accesds their corporate Virtual Private Networks, all at full mobilse broadband speeds in flight, Broomfield-based Aircell said. Aircell'es network uses a network of U.S. grounds stations and an exclusiverbroadband air-to-ground spectrum, the companhy says. It claims the system is up to 56 timews faster than atraditional dial-uo connection.

" The first Aircellp High Speed Internet system installationds from the Cessna factory will be availabld for delivery in the second quarter of Aircell said. Aircell's commercial-airline Internet service -- Gogo Inflight Internet -- is flying today with Americaj Airlines, Virgin America, Delta Air Linea and AirTran Airways and is cominh soon to Air Canadqa andUnited Airlines.
